Dubai Frame

History of Dubai Frame

The Dubai Frame, inaugurated in 2018, encapsulates Dubai’s rapid evolution from humble beginnings to a global metropolis. Conceptualized from a 2008 design competition, architect Fernando Donis envisioned a towering structure symbolizing Dubai’s past, present, and future. Construction, spanning from 2013 to 2017, faced engineering challenges but resulted in a 150-meter architectural marvel. Clad in glass panels, the frame’s dual towers connected by a sky bridge offer panoramic views of Old and New Dubai. It stands as a testament to Dubai’s ambition, innovation, and commitment to preserving heritage while embracing modernity, captivating visitors with its rich history and visionary design.
